Have your say! Influence decisions about our communities and create a better living environment
We believe in safer communities for our families, connected communities for our mutual growth, and sustainable communities for our continuous development
There are numerous ways to volunteer within Moraine Communities. Whether you have skills to share or simply want to lend a hand, we welcome your involvement.

Position. People come first. We support context-appropriate lower speeds, safer crossings, and street designs that prioritize walking, wheeling, and school bus zone safety.
What we advocate. Traffic studies where needed, upgraded crosswalks (lighting/visibility), corner tightening, signs, and right-of-way education.
How you can help. Tell us about problem spots and near-misses; join traffic counts and audits
Position. One unified, transparent voice for Ambleton, Starling, and North Evans Land. We engage early, share evidence, and report back.
What we advocate. Quarterly meetings with the Ward Rep office, public briefing notes before and after consultations, and open resident surveys ahead of key hearings.
How you can help. Share priorities, attend town halls, and review our submissions
Position. Safety is a shared effort: neighbours, Calgary Police Service, and City partners. We focus on prevention (lighting, sightlines, “eyes on the street”) and timely reporting.
What we advocate. CPTED-informed fixes (lighting/landscaping), accurate reporting guidance, and partnerships with CPS community resource officers.
If you need help. For emergencies call 911. For non-emergencies, use the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line (403-266-1234) or online reporting.
How you can help. Report incidents through official channels and loop us in on patterns.
Position. Everyone belongs. We have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment—across race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, newcomer status, or family status.
What we commit to. An AMC Code of Conduct, inclusive language and imagery, accessibility considerations at events, respectful discussion spaces, and confidential incident follow-up.
How you can help. Tell us what you need to participate; report issues so we can respond quickly
Position. Clean blocks and cared-for parks build pride and safety. We value quick cleanup and shared responsibility.
What we advocate. Seasonal neighbourhood cleanups, trash/recycling education, rapid graffiti reporting, and snow/ice neighbour-help drives.
How you can help. Join a cleanup, adopt a planter/park bed, or flag issues for the City.
